Sunday 5th June- ‘Tagore’s English Sojourn’
Moksha performs at the Midlands Arts Centre during an exclusive Tagore Festival organised by SAMPAD. The programme shall follow the journey of Tagore whilst he was in Great Britain around 1912-1913.

Tuesday 19th April 2011- ‘Paying Homage to Tagore’
Moksha has been invited to perform in Rome. The programme shall feature works from Gitanjali and also celebrate International Women’s Year with a short piece on women’s emancipation through an adaptation of ‘Chandalika’.

Moksha pays tribute to the legendary Suchitra Mitra
27th February saw London come together and pay homage to the late Suchitra Mitra at Hampstead Town Hall. It was in 1975 that she first performed in the same venue alongside Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. Amongst the many who came to pay tribute were vocalists Paramita Bandyopadhyay, Sahana Bajpaie and direct disciple Susmita Bhattacharya. The second half of the programme was a special composite piece in collaboration with Sangeet Kala Academy- Tobu Mone Rekho featuring Rishi Banerjee, Chiranjib Chakraborty and saxophone sensation Jesse Bannister. In light of Suchitra Mitra’s experimental piece with Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the trio brought Rabindranath together with Hindustani classical music with a jazz edge.

'Ogo Dukho Shukhero Shaathi'- A Friend for Life
Exploring the way in which Rabindranath Tagore has influenced an artist’s life. This evening was led by Bisakha Sarker and Rishi Banerjee where they performed pieces from Gitanjali and Chandalika. The evening witnessed a new production to London- a dramatised performance of the poem ‘Pujarini.’ The evening was hosted by Akademi at Nehru Centre, London.

Sunday 16th November 2008- SHAPMOCHON, Kirkby Suite, Liverpool
Moksha’s production of ‘Shapmochon’ came to the Northwest. After touring London and Italy, Moksha showcased one the most exciting productions of Shapmochon outside of Kolkata. In the second half, Pramita Mallick gave a soul stirring solo recital with songs like ‘Bipulo Taranga Re,’ ‘Ami Kaan Pete Roi’ and ‘Amar Praner Porey.’

Saturday 9th November 2008- TAGORE FESTIVAL- Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London
Moksha conceptualised a Tagore Festival, celebrating the works of the legend himself through music, dance, drama and poetry. With this in mind ‘The Tagore Festival 2008’ was launched in London at the Bhavan Centre in partnership with Baithak UK. It was a whole day event! Amongst many of the events, artistes such as Pramita Mallick, Aditi Mohsin & Shreya Guhathakurta came to perform. Moksha brought the delight of Shapmochon to London and it was well received.

Saturday 8th March 2008: MOKSHA Charity Show- Building Bridges, Harrow Arts Centre
Moksha’s charity show raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust was performed to a very high standard. The first half was a classical recital on Sarod by Soumik Datta who was accompanied by his brother Souvid Datta.
The second half was opened by a dance piece composed to a piece from Rhythmscapes by Bikram Ghosh. After which, SIX SEASONS, a production based on Tagore compositions on the calendar seasons of Bengal, was performed. Classic pieces such as ‘Bishwa Bina Rabey,’ ‘Esho Shyamolo Shundoro’ and ‘Ajee Dakhino Duar Khola’ were performed and received extremely well.

Saturday 10th November 2007, Robert Powell Theatre- MOKSHA Show
Moksha’s first show was a great success at the Robert Powell Theatre in Salford University. The evening which had a near sell out crowd began with a solo recital from Rishi Banerjee who presented a mixture of Bengali songs from Rabindrasangeet, Atulprasad and Dwijendralalgeeti.
Afterwhich invited arts group ARTS BENGAL performed two short pieces- a translation of Tagore’s ‘Karna Kunti Sangbad’ and a Shruti Natak (dialogue) called ‘Classfriend’. Thanks to Shilajit Ghosh and Kaushik Chaudhuri and his troupe for performing.
The finale was presented by Moksha, a dance drama: AMAR PREM- IMMORTAL LOVE, a dance drama based on Radha & Krishna. The dance drama was a journey of Radha, her Sakhis and also Krishna. The dance drama used immortal compositions by Rabindranath Tagore and was accompanied by English and Bengali Narration.

Friday 19th October 2007, Harrow Arts Centre, Tagore: A Journey of Folk Music
Moksha were invited by Panchamukhee Durga Utsav 2007 at the Harrow Arts Centre. Under the presence of the Mayor Moksha performed an innovative production based on two contrasting types of Folk Music that Tagore was fascinated by- Western Folk Music (Scottish and Irish Folk melodies) and Bengali Folk Music (Kirtan, Baul and Shari Gaan).

Moksha directors Rishi & Ballari Banerjee presented a short audiovisual presentation on Indian Independence while performing classic numbers such as ‘Raghu Pati Raghava Raja..’ and ‘Jodi Tor Daak Shune.’
