Surangon is delighted to announce its new production, "Festival of Christ" or Christo Utsav on Saturday 3rd December from 6.00 p.m. at the Methodist Church, Ramilies Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 7AL. There is free parking and refreshments will be on sale. Rabindranath Tagore introduced this celebration in Santiniketan and it is still observed by the students of the Vishwa Bharati University today. Vishwa Bangla Sammelan in Nagpur
Rishi was invited from the UK to present Rabindrasangeet at the Vishwa Bangla Sammelan in Nagpur. In a first of its kind event, the city organised a World Bengali Convention from June 26 to 28 at Deshpande hall to promote the rich and glorious heritage and also to preserve the Bengali culture.
